February Update

All right, so it's been a minute since we updated but things have been a little hectic, but in a good way!

Crystal got the job she wanted at Inland Valley Regional Medical Center in Med Surg - Telemetry (I have no idea what that means but it sounds important!). I am so proud of her. It is amazing to see the hard work that it takes to get to this point. Such an achievement!

Corryn (Sunshine!) has started playing Piano and learning all facets of Music from 2 time Grammy Nominated Sarah Kelly (http://www.sarahkelly.com/). I have never seen that little girl so intent on learning something like the Piano and singing. Sarah and her Husband are so kind and patient with the kids. It's an awesome experience.
We have also signed up Corryn for soccer practise again. Even though I know she wants no part of it, being part of the team and working with others helps her quite a bit. Even if she never kicks the ball! Hopefully this year she at least kicks it once! Hopefully...

Has for Colin (Chunk!), well, he started crawling. He is like a human vacuum, looking for anything and everything he kind find on the floor to put in his mouth. We really have to be clean now! He's talking a lot more as well. I have no idea what he is saying, but he's talking (Check out the video)!

As for me, work is great! The REO's are selling and the market has seemed to pick up quite a bit. I have only 2 active listings right now along with 8 Escrows, so it's looking good! I have included some recent videos to check out. Hope you enjoy!

The first video is of Corryn Dancing to Napoleon Dynamite. We were sitting around the house last Tuesday and the TV was on in the background. As we were all talking I could see Corryn in the background dancing to the TV. I saw what she was dancing to so I grabbed my camera and caught the end of it. Comedy!

This Video is of Colin talking to us because he is being lazy and doesn't want to crawl to the toy he wants to grab. Let the Sparks Stubbornness begin!

Accident

So yesterday, I'm coming back from checking on one of my REO property's I manage for the bank and as I exit Murrieta Hot Spring and start heading up the hill to home, all of the sudden - WHAM! I get t-boned by an old lady driving an '86 Oldsmobile. She hits me so hard she pushes me into the other lane where I slam into the side of a Ford Explorer. As you can see by the pics, my car got roughed up pretty bad but thankfully no one was hurt at all. The other car I hit had no damage and besides a scratch on her passenger side mirror. She was cool and said she wouldn't need to file a claim or anything. The old lady said her boot got caught on the gas pedal and instead of pressing the brakes, she floored it into the intersection (I got her on Video saying it!).

I have a rental car and my car will be out of commission for a couple weeks but at least it's fixable.

Scary Weekend

We had a little scare this weekend. Two Saturday's ago, Corryn had fallen and hit the coffee table with her right ear. It hurt her pretty bad for a week, but started to get better around Thursday. All of the sudden she woke up on Friday morning and was holding her head to the right and couldn't move it to the left. I thought she might have slept on it wrong and that it would go away. As the day progressed, it got worse. Saturday morning came and it was still hurting her and she couldn't move her head at all. She had two swollen glads on the back of her neck so Crystal and I decided to take her to the urgent care. The doctor there checked her ears and said it didn't look like Corryn had an infection. The doctor was worried that she had fractured something in her neck. WTF! She told us that we needed to take her to the emergency room at the local hospital right away. We rushed Corryn over there so we could sit for 6 hours before they even saw her. Once we got in to see the doctor they looked at her ear again first and this doctor said she couldn't even see Corryn's ear drum because she had so much wax in there, which was an indication of an infection. After they cleared her ear out they said her ear drum was red and irritated, indicating an infection. Just to be safe they did some X-rays of her neck and found nothing.
While it was emotionally draining long day and there is a little anger at the wait in the emergency room and the first doctor for not knowing how to check a kids ear and what to look for, we are thankful that everything is OK. They gave Corryn antibiotics and today was the first day she started moving her neck again. Me and her Mom are very happy everything had worked out.

Our Journey to good health

The last few years have been crazy.....filled with hard work and good times. It is now time for us to start on our journey to good health. We will be updating this blog with new pictures and stats on our progress, wish us luck.

The Sparks Family 2009

Since all of our close friends started doing this, I thought this would be a great way to keep everyone informed on what is going on in our family. Currently everything is perfect! Crystal just graduated school to be an RN, Corryn is doing wonderful in Kindergarten and out 7-month-old boy, Colin, is learning how to make a high pitched scream so loud that your ear drums start to bleed. Awesome.

I will have more detail soon on everyone, but for right now, this is a good start.
